EMPLOYEES CO-OPERATIVE THRIFT & CREDIT SOCIETY

The main objective of the EMPLOYEES CO-OPERATIVE THRIFT & CREDIT SOCIETY of Thanthai Periyar Government Arts and Science College, Trichy-23 is fostering the necessity of savings among the employees of
Government Sector. On 09.05.1981, it was registered and is functioning from 12.05.1981 till date. It is a voluntary association usually unincorporated to promote thrift and for the collective investment of the savings of the members.

LIBRARY BEST PRACTICES

E-GRANTHALAYA is a Digital Platform developed by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India for
Government Libraries. This facilitates to the students to reach text books and other resources that is not available to them.

CAMPUS CLEANING

Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Our health and progress will depend on how clean and pure our place is.

SAMATHUVA PONGAL TO ATTAIN CULTURAL REFORMATION

Our culture is our strength and we can’t succeed in our life without following our
culture. Tamil culture is an example to the world. Here, the teachers and students jointly organize the Samathva Pongal festival. The aim of this Pongal is to show the world that everyone is equal and to prove that our culture is common to all.

COMPUTER LITERACY

The students of our college are given regular training by explaining the use of computer and its importance.

DIGITAL AWARENESS

Digital Awareness will enhance skills of the students to be able to apply their
knowledge to face and resolve real time challenges.

HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP

Health Checkup Camp for Teaching and non-teaching staff of our college are to create an awareness of maintaining good health by way of regular check up by analyzing biochemical parameters.

EVR TIMES- STUDENT LAB JOURNAL

The Department of Visual Communication has been publishing a student monthly lab journal – EVR Times, from 2012 onwards. It was started with the objective of inculcating journalistic skills among students. Through this publication, students are trained in various fields of journalism like reporting, editing, designing newspaper layout, printing and distribution. At every level the students are involved and are guided by a Staff Editor .

MENTORING SYSTEM

The students of the college are monitored through the mentor system. Each class is
allotted with a faculty member as a mentor/Tutor for monitoring the progression of the students and providing the necessary advice and support.
